Vic showcases his Own Original Music, which is Available On CD, along with covering many great artists and hits of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Vic Duncan has been teaching students of all ages, from eight year old beginners to retirees wanting to expand their guitar playing abilities, for over 25 years now. His student roster includes teenage students learning the latest craze, to business professionals honing their skills on everything from classics in folk, rock, country and blues. Several of Vic's students have become songwriters and gone on to play in coffee house and night club venues throughout the Midwest. The versatility in Vic's playing allows him to reach almost any students interests in guitar playing. Vic's years of experience performing on stage offers a unique opportunity for students to not only learn the mechanics of playing guitar but hone the skills needed in performing with confidence. Play Guitar Now Studio, in Addison Texas, now also includes the expertise teaching staff of Ken Williams and Jim Keaton. Ken Williams is a renowned Jazz and Rock Guitarist and is fondly regarded by the guitar playing community and all of his students. Jim Keaton's abilities on multiple instruments are quite impressive as well. He plays and teaches six string electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, banjo and mandolin. Many of his students participate in the Bluegrass Jam, hosted by Jim, which has become extremely popular at the Play Guitar Now Studio.
Between the three teachers, there's no doubt that we can serve the learning needs of any student from beginner to professional. Whether you're looking to lead songs at a campfire, sing Christmas carols with the family, play some popular songs with your friends, hone your own writing skills or even get a gig at the local night spot, the Play Guitar Now Learning Center is the place for you.
Lessons are $100/mo., which includes (4) 1/2 hour sessions, once a week 30 minute private lessons that are sure to advance your playing abilities more rapidly than any other method. You will gain an understanding of what you are doing when you play, with scale knowledge and strumming techniques to get you playing quickly.
